3 Easy Tips to Help Keep your Teeth Healthy During Halloween!

Halloween is right around the corner, and not only do we get to dress up, but we also get to eat lots and lots and LOTs of candy! But what about all those tooth aches and cavities that we get after eating all those treats? Although candy tastes so good, the pain and feeling they cause us after can be not so satisfying.

Here are 3 Easy Tips to Help Keep your Teeth Healthy During Halloween!

  1. Eat before going out: By eating before going trick or treating, you’ll be more full, and less likely to snack or binge on too much candy. Whether you are doing the trick or treating yourself, going with friends, or going with family, everyone should eat before heading out so you can steer clear from binge eating too much candy!
  2. Rinse after eating candy: By rinsing your mouth after you eat too many sugary treats, you will help to rinse away and wash away some of the sugar that can stay stuck to your teeth. Of course, rinsing alone with water won’t help completely, thats why tip number 3 goes hand in hand with rinsing.
  3. Brush and Floss: We all know that you should always brush and floss your teeth at least twice a day, but you should always brush and floss after eating sugary treats too! Especially during Halloween where we tend to eat the most candy and chocolate. After eating anything with sugar, take a moment to brush your teeth and floss them, to help keep them clean and healthy!

Follow these 3 easy tips this Halloween with your friends and family to insure your teeth stay nice and healthy. Of course, don’t forget to always check in with your dentist after a week of eating candy for a quick check up and clean!
